Challenger RT/T1000 WOT Hesitation Tips

Thought I would post this for anyone else with a Challenger RT that is experiencing engine hesitation/stutter when your to the floor (WOT).

[Here's the story but skip down to the bottom is you just want the solution]

For the past 12 months I've been experiencing this. Thought it might be the 93 ...

Re: Dealer Toasted My Tune

@mikel

2014 Challenger R/T Plus.

When i plug in the Trinity, it boots up and will let me into the Performance/Tunes section. But if I modify my 93 tune, save, write, key cycle and then start, the car will barely start and when it does, it sounds like the timing is way off.

I tried to restore ...

Dealer Toasted My Tune

Apologies in advance if there is a thread on this already. I couldn't find it. If there's one, please provide link...

Took my car in for some warranty A/C repair. Bad actuator. Didn't expect dealer to touch my PCM since the work was A/C related.

I have a feeling they flashed my PCM anyway. I went ...

Re: WOT Hesitation after exhaust upgrade

Ok... here's an update. Hope it helps anyone who's had the same issues...

I pull fuse #2 (NGC module) for approximately 10 minutes. Put it back in. Made a lot of difference but the car still had slight hesitation if I punched it. I backed the throttle boost down to 2.5% from 15%. BOOOM! Head ...

WOT Hesitation after exhaust upgrade

Apologies in advance if this has been covered. I searched the forum and couldn't find anything....

I just upgraded my 2014 Challenger RT to a Borla S-Type exhaust, and I have the Mopar Scat CAI. I have the 91 tune installed with boost set to 15%.

When I go WOT (to the floor) I notice a lot of ...

Nope. Just when i have the 91 tune installed with MDS off and 10% throttle boost. Usually happens when car is in park at idle.

Strange huh?

Re: Should I update my Trinity to the latest version?

No need as long as its all working well for you currently.

Would this update by chance fix the consistent P0307 error code I get on a regular basis?

It say's it's cylinder 7 misfire, which it isn't. I've replaced the plugs and swapped coil packs. Did nothing. Didn't get this error until i ...

Should I update my Trinity to the latest version?

If this has already been answered, would someone mind posting the link to the thread?

If not, I'm wondering if I should upgrade my T1000. Has anything new been added that will benefit my 2014 Challenger RT?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Torque Loss with Resonator Delete

Thats because off the loss of backpressure. The Hemi likes backpressure. Tuning isn't gonna get it back. Best you can do it hope to mask it.

Thanks for the reply Mike. That's unfortunate. Guess I'll have to invest in the Borla S-Type exhaust, which is on the wish list. Now I just have to convince ...

Torque Loss with Resonator Delete

Hello Tuners.

I recently had my resonators removed from my 2014 Challenger RT Plus and have noticed a reduction in my off the line power. The car is not as snappy. I have my throttle boost at 10% on a 91 tune. Can anyone make recommendations on what I should do to regain some of this bottom end ...

@xbxjunkie

Thought you might like to know that I adjusted my throttle boost today on the 91 tune. I increased it to 10% and it made a huge difference. Give it a try.

So I adjusted the throttle boost, adding 10%. Boy, what a difference. That seems to do the trick. Hope this helps anyone else experiencing the same issue.
