Re: RE: Re: RE: New MPG booster tunes for NBS trucks!
Not nearly as much as it would with it enabled...but, if your worried about MPG, why would you have MDS disabled?
I have DOD disabled because of the fact that there have been reports of excessive oil use as a result of carbon build up in the rings due to the DOD. GM does have a service bulletin ...

RE: New MPG booster tunes for NBS trucks!
Great..Will give it a try. But one question, with DOD deactivated, will this tune help and can the 1-3 MPG gain be expected? I have been running with DOD deactivated and my mileage has decreased slightly. If I can still get improvement from what I'm now getting with no DOD this will be a good thing ...

RE: Re: RE: 2009 sierra 5.3l any recommendations for tune wi
I disabled the DOD in my 2007 Yukon and have not noticed any difference in my gas mileage. I do feel more comfortable with it disabled as it should will benefit the longevity of the engine, no valves constantly collapsing then reactivating while switching back and forth from 4 to 8 cyl. operation ...

Disable AFM
Can anyone comment on the affect on gas mileage by disabling AFM (DOD) on either a 2007 Yukon or Tahoe with the 5.3 flex engine. Also is there any potential for damage to the engine if disabled long term?

RE: Re: unable to update from 9r18
Thanks, now updated to 9r21... Now the question, for a 2007 Yukon with the 5.3 flex, was the upgrade of benefit or did I just use up more memory to install the update since it is larger in size? If nothing gained what revision would give me the latest improvement in my Yukon without using excessive ...

When I attempt to update from v. 9r18 to either 9r21 or 9r21c my 7194 advises that it is unable to downgrade from 9r16. I'm confused....now what?
