I am trying to Modify parameters on the 91 Octane tune and when i flash it fails the tune and goes into recovery and forces a reflash of the stock backup. The only things I had tryed to modify was Throttle Boost and Transmission Shift. Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Your VIN is showing that you have a 2013 JK, is that correct? If so the i1000 will not work for that vehicle. They support up to 2010. You will need either the i2010 or the i1000 DCX.

Yes you can tune the 2016 with the i1000. I would just advise you to update the device before trying to tune and make sure to return the vehicle you currently have back to stock so it will un-marry the tool from the vehicle.
