Re: Question for lew...
Haha, yeah, I get that... but, it's annoying to have to push it every time. Thanks for the quick reply.

Question for lew...
I have a 2015 silverado 5.3 with the 6 speed. I run the 87 tune and the hard shift tcm tune. Even with the options I've chosen, I still find driving around on "tow/haul" with grade braking off is, by far, the best.
With a custom tune, can you make the "regular" transmission mode behave like it does ...

Re: For those with Diablew tunes...
I appreciate the reply. This might be in my future. I'm not so much worried about the small incremental power increase (I run 89 octane all the time anyway). I just hate the stock transmission programming. It really lets the truck down.

Re: Reducing or eliminating the throttle close on shift?
Isn't that kind of the point for having firm and hard shift programs? Even if you forget about that for a moment, every other vehicle I've owned has shifted up the gears in a continuous way. Not a start, accelerate, damn near stop, shift, start again type of way. If it's truely just the timing, any ...

Relative pressures TCM tune stock-firm-hard?
Is it possible to know the relative pressures compared to stock that are used as the baseline for the firm shift and the hard shift program?
For example, if I loaded up the firm shift, but upped all the shift pressures by... lets say 10. Is that the same as the firm shift?
What I'm looking for is ...

For those with Diablew tunes...
For those of you who have Diablew tunes, what additional tuning is available? Is it just fine tuning the spark and fuel for your specific application and everything else is configurable like with the canned tunes? Or, is it possible to actually change the way things work? I'm specifically wondering ...

Reducing or eliminating the throttle close on shift?
On my 2015 silverado 5.3, it sure seems like the throttle fully closes then opens back up when a shift occurs. I assume this is part of the torque management system or something. I, of course, have torque management "off" in my tune, but I'm not sure what exactly that does because it didn't seem to ...

Re: silverado 5.3 6spd 93 octane "hard shift"?
I had the same reaction. I found the standard hard shift program did not make the 1-2 shift really any better and only really changed the 2-3. Upping the shift pressure made a difference for me. You might try to up the part throttle and full throttle shift pressure to 5-8 over the standard program ...

Why no 89 tune?
I run the 87 tune in my 2015 silverado 5.3, but I have found that I pretty much have to run 89 to keep it from pinging. Since I already have to run 89, it would be cool to actually have a tune specifically for that octane rating. Not sure if it would be enough to gain a whole lot of power over stock ...

87 Tune details?
I run the 87 tune on my 2015 Silverado 5.3 and was wondering what the details are on it. For example, I've heard there is throttle boost build into the 93 tune... is it built into the 87 tune? Do I get any more or less power running the 87 tune vs stock? For all the features the tuner has, is sure ...

I plan to up the trans pressure and re-program again. Once I do, I'll upload the file you requested.
Thanks

Since no one from diablo cared to comment... I thought I'd share my experience in the hopes of helping the next person.
I've found that the "throttle boost" feature is more trouble than it's worth. Most, if not all, of the weird transmission behavior has been solved in my case by just not fiddling ...

2015 Silverado - "Tow/Sport" trans adjustments not working
I've been toying around with the transmission settings (pressure and shift rpm) and saw there are separate setting for "tow/sport" mode. In my 2015 Silverado, I took this to mean that, if I push the "tow haul" button on my shifter, it would transition to these settings. For example, I wanted to have ...

2015 Silverado 5.3 "Hard Shift" TCM program inconsistant
Just got the i2 for my 2015 Silverado 5.3 and was hoping for a vast improvement over the rather horrible stock transmission programming. I loaded up the 87 octane tune, torque management off, speed limiter off, throttle boost set at +2, 1-2 shift rpm set to 5800, and the hard shift tcm tune. While ...
