Re: Heading to the dealer
always restore original backup stock tune first before going to a dealer for anything...
because if keep the tune installed and they do any updates to the ECM/TCM, then you'd be screwed, tool would not work for you anymore until you got it unlocked/reset by diablosport...
so yes, restore original ...

Heading to the dealer
I've got to head in but I've got a tune. Remove it completely or will it cause issues with my ability to use the tuner if the dealer does an update while they have it? Speedo is off quite a bit from the rear emd change so I would like to at least have that accurate but won't if there's a potential ...

Re: Knock retard
put the modify stock tune on with same parameters then did some logging. Right away the knock retard was much higher than the 87 tune. Instead of split second of 1-2 at the highest, I was seeing 3-4 for at least a second at a time. Is that indicative of an issue that the 87 tune is fixing? Going ...

Do you all update your vehicles tune after the tuner gets updates? Thinking I should plug in and maybe restore to stick and then retune if advised? Just wondering what the consensus is.

Re: Upshift torque management
so when towing, is it best to turn on TM before hooking up?
i've been nervous about turning that off I guess because of the newer models and issues it causes with those so now I'm excited to give it a whirl. Custom tune is on my radar but all of these maintenance items keep coming up and now my ...

Shift settings for 87 octane tune
What is included in the 87 octane for the Silverado in regards to shift settings? 1 - 2 is rough so is that the firm setting? I haven't made any tranny settings besides making AFM, ring and pinion and tire size

Re: Tune for towing
a custom tune improves everything bud.. like I said above, there's nothing done differently for towing.. You'd just use the tow/haul button on the dash like you normally would. That just tells the transmission to use different shifting settings, that's all it does. The engine tune does not change ...
