not sure how old this post is but I just bought an I3 and it showed up today(4-10-2019). I updated it using update angent 1.0 and getting the same "one or more ECU's in this vehicle requires an update prior to tuning" I have the 8246 model for 2017 + GM

Once you get it updated like it was trying when you canceled you should be good.... or at worst at a point phone tech can help

Try a different USB port and see if computer reinstalls the drivers then you might get it all back on the pic end..... or reset computer with tuner plugged into USB port

If you think it was an electrical draw issue hook up a battery charger durning the tune...... your dash will show hood open but that won't effect a thing........ give that a try

Updated the tuner which took about 40 minutes, hooked up my battery charger and put the tune back on the truck and it worked great!
Thanks for the help here and the techs that where emailing with me to help fix my issues!
On a side note hook the battery charger up that way if lights come on or ...

06montess can I keep a battery charger hooked up while I do the tune? Maybe my voltage dropped to low?

Ok I let the tuner boot up and go to white screen and let it sit this morning for about 45 mins...... white screen gone and back to the reset code.... sent pic of reset code to tech email he sent back the code to reset it and all seems good .... tuners back to normal home screen .....

Ok the elm and Tom are back to factory.... but now the tuner screen go white after it's been plugged in ...... the tuner boots up but about 30 seconds after it's booted up it goes to white screen..... any one else have this happen?

Ok I tried changing some setttings on my 91octane tune and it messed up and now the truck is in limp mode and diablo tech told me I have to have dealer rewrite my pcm and tcm.... the tech was help full and understanding I am in no way upset with tech support I was just hoping one of you have a ...

Even if the truck uses the 30% more fuel at $1.20 per gallon here I would still save money per month, or am I missing something on the conversion of the fuel from 93 to e85?

Thanks man I appreciate the help. I am in good old Michigan and we have e85 all over and is about $1.20 cheaper then the mobile 93 octane....... don't get me wrong saving cash is a plus but I am more looking to see if the performance is same or better then using 93 ........
