I am able to buy it through the ignition app, would that me the most appropriate way to purchase it? After I do that will I need to wait for the code or will it update the device by itself once purchased?
edit: i just purchased it and as you said, it said i would get an email in an hour or two ...

Update: i just tried using the update software when plugged into my computer and it says I need to purchase license for 17+ model year? Is that correct?

Hey guys, I just bought the 8245 i3 for my 18 Silverado 6.2l, and I did update the device before plugging it in however I am getting this error. I have tried going back and updating again then trying over but no dice. This error comes up after it tries to do the backup. Any ideas? Anxious to get it ...
