Hey all I have a 7165 tuner and I see there is an update for download that i missed . Is there any advantage or Disadvantage to doing it? Or was the update only for the guys with reflashed trucks? I am not reflashed so I don't want to do something that I cannot undo.

Worked good , but if I could find something to whine about . It is that it does not seem to pull as hard as the previos extreme tune. Thanks for the good work

ok thanks . yes it is a 2003 6L I am using the 7165 with the latest crom . Runs good when the truck warms up but terrible at cold start and you can hear 1 or possibly 2 injectors popping .

Is it possible to log each injector seperatly? I am having an injector issue but unsure which one . And the dealer wants 4 hour min to diagnose the problems@ $110 an hour. ( crooks ) any help would be appreciated.

If you are looking for a quick response from DS good luck. Most likely need to update tool to latest crom found on download page . It will have the latest cal id's providing that DS has one for your cal id. Hope that helps.

Stop wasting your time here guys ! Contact Mike at Tunnings his tunes kick the shit out of the DS ones it will cost you $ 125 but it is well worth the money . Why you ask ? Cause the actually work unlike the DS ones .

LMFAO you almost sound surprised! Did you really think you would get an answer that fast ? Takes most people 3 or 4 requests to get an answer and that usually is we are working on it and have no answer.

Yes I usually have to try 2- 3 times to start it when cold. I am in northern Canada and it is extremely cold here right now. There is no tell tale white smoke to indicate an injector, So I am leaning to FICM issue but wanted another opinion.

I want to go back to an old rev on my 7165 anyone remember what revs had problems and what ones were any good? I can remember that 9r05 had severe surging problems I think ! And the one after it was good 9r07? Anyone know if 9r10 was anygood?

A word of advice get one that works ,us 6L guys have been forgotten about so I would say go buy a better progamer and loose is one . You mileage will get worse and the power sucks compared to what it was . And the tech help from DS is non existant
