The gear ratio is set to 3.90 which are the gears i have, how do i check if the trans is slipping?

Ok so when im driving from about 30 mph and i floor it my rev limiter hits around 6300 rpms (my redline is 5800rpms) BUT i have my shift points set to 5450rpms from 1-2 and at 5500 from 2-3 , so why is it going so high? i know this isnt safe for my engine(as when this happens you can obviusly hear ...

Is that for WOT only??? What should they be at???

I jsut got a set of motive 3.90 gears on my 03 GT auto and was wondering if i had to change shift points aswell as the axle ratio or not???

So is there a new canned tuned with the new rev or does that stay the same as the previous rev???

Ok guys just an update, I finally figured out what my problem was, turns out one of my lifters was not working properly, a simple oil change with some heavier oil fixed everything car runs GREAT and REALLY FAST

the guy that installed it is really good and really knows what he is doing im pretty sure it was done correctly but ill check it anyways just to be sure

no no headers or aftermarket mid pipe only flowmaster mufflers and i removed the cats from the original H pipe


try adding fuel at WOT and back off global timing by 2 degrees first and lets go from there ...

ok i changed the plugs and that sound went away at idle but is still there at part throttle and a little bit in WOT, when in idle you can just barley hear i little ticking sound deffenetly not as much as i used to hear it but it is still there

How do i adjust the MAF curve and how mush???

i checked the fuel pressure using the predetor and it reads around 20% at idle and at around 30% at part throttle, dont know were these numbers are suppose to be at so can anybody tell me if there are correct or if it needs adjusting... just one question before i change the plugs on the car, what ...

Wait. you're using 86 octane with a 91 octane tune?

no i removed the tune when i pumped 86

No i havent checked the fuel pressure, how do i do that??? and everything that has do do with fuel is stock, even the pump. i did change my fuel filter, and i did it again just yesterday just in case.. should i do that to the WOT settings???

I personally wouldnt recommend the typhoon, after i installed it there was no difference at all, i think i might have even lost some power, the typhoon os almost like a stock one, the same on the outside for bolt on purposes, but the inside design of the typhoon is almost the some as the stock one ...

the sound coming from the engine was noticable before i installed anything, after i did the flowmasters the sound got louder, while trying to figure that out i discovered that my intake manifold was cracked at the bottom so i replaced it with an typhoon intake manifold, i didnt want to install ...

well the only mod i did myself was the CAI.. the others were done by a shop that i trust... my problems started before i had the mods, when i put the flowmasters on and removed the cats the problem continued
