RE: 2004 VW Jetta TDI -- Any plans for tunes on VW TDIs?

Thanks for the response. I was not aware that the Predator was dead. I realize that there are many tuners for these vehicles, and I have researched them quite a bit. As you might have noticed, a tune + tuner is at least $500, and most are around $650-700. I used the predator on my PT Cruiser GT and ...

2004 VW Jetta TDI -- Any plans for tunes on VW TDIs?

Just like the title says. I'm located in Utah but will be going across the country. Any plans to do tunes (maybe through the Predator?) for the VW diesels?

RE: Re: DODGE SRT4 Crousing in lean Condition with ds

if you've got an S2 WGA then the new revisions won't work properly for you. if brian adjusted your earlier version and it worked great, i'd reinstall the original tune that was adjusted for your WGA and leave it at that.

Re: RE: Do i need thermostat

The stock t-stat will not damage the car (and it doesn't matter how hot it is in texas -- see the other thread).

Unless they changed something for 2009 your t-stat is around 193*. I think the stock fan settings are around 200? and 220? Your engine is designed to run in the low 200s. One of the ...

Re: Purchase of U7134

I do not have a Predator yet I would like some clarification on the Predator for a 2004 GT Cruiser with Sg 1 Comp. RE: Increasing Boost

the rule of thumb is to tune it with a proper wideband air/fuel ratio gauge. if you don't have one of those, you shouldn't be modifying the tune unless you're going more conservative.

RE: questions about srt-4 tunning

No. the first time you plug a predator into a vehicle, it links itself with your VIN, allowing you to tune it. you MUST re-set the tool before tuning another PCM with it.

just zip tie it out of the way... easy and replaceable ;)

c'mon apex, don't i get enough of you on ptcrew?

(only kidding)

i thought we had come to the conclusion that without Stage 1, the zip-tie trick doesn't work.

i have 2 spark plug anti foulers in place. when i first started the car i had ...

It's not that EPA won't allow DS to do that, it's a product usability issue.

Your laws may differ by location but in general you could (and should) restore the original backup before an inspection.

Then there are the guys whose engines won't run on a stock tune. With their mods they're not ...

is there any way to add this to the next revision of the standard 93 oct. tune? it can't hurt anything....

Can't hurt anything? Its an instant failure of an OBD2 inspection. Many of us need to pass that to keep our cars on the road.

is it? then how can stage 1 do it?

i'm sorry, i didn't list ...

Re: 09 Challenger SRT8 6 speed STS turbo kit

Hello, I am in the process of installing an STS turbo kit on an 09 Challenger SRT8 6 speed. As part of the package, I was sent a Predator U7135 to upload the stock tune, send it to STS for them to modify and send it back for me to load into the car. When I plug in the Predator, I get a message ...

Does the Predator Ignore the second O2 sensor?

I did a quick search but didn't find the information i was looking for.

This weekend i'll be installing a 3" exhaust. i'm using the maxxfab catless downpipe.

i understand that with the stock computer, this will throw an error code because the computer will think the cat is bad. the stage 1 ...
