RE: hmm

I'm not sure I follow your logic with the statement, "Why throw all this horsepower into a car that was never meant to have it?" Actually the solid axle in the 2V is superior to the IRS as far as handling the power and getting it down to the ground. As I'm sure you know, this is exactly why Ford ...

RE: lol

Because some people will never be able to get into a Cobra, but they can afford a 2v and just add bolt ons as their budget allows. I wouldn't consider the 2V as simply a stepping stone. Some people are quite happy with their 2Vs and have made big power.
Also consider that you can snag a 99-04 2V ...

If 9r05 is the latest, then yes, I am up to date. (See thread title)

I've gone back and installed the MRT CAI and added -10 fuel in both the 2K-4K and 4K-7K ranges. Seems to be working pretty well for now.

RE: MUCH IMPROVED!!!

Back again, and pinging again. Back in March, after my last post, I just unloaded the tune and went back to stock and the pinging disappeared completely. Today I installed the tune and it began pinging again, once again when engine load is high and RPMs are low. It also pings at high RPMs. Tonight I ...

RE: Re: RE: 2002 mustang gt - 1-2 shift breaks wheels loose!

Stock automatic GTs typically would dyno at around 215 RWHP. With your catback and intake, you've probably gained 7-10 peak horsepower over the stock 215. With short tube headers, a plenum and throttle body, you'll add another 10-15 rear wheel horsepower - all in all, when you are done with these ...

RE: MUCH IMPROVED!!!

Well after some driving around today, it's "so far, so good". Not that it's what I want to do (but it's a good way to 'measure') but I can pull away from a dead stop in second gear without issue again.

RE: MUCH IMPROVED!!!

Since it's the weekend and I haven't recieved any feedback (not unexpected on the weekend), I decided to tinker a bit and added 3.0 (percent?) of fuel in both the 2-4 and 4-7 ranges.

Quesiton #3 above can be ignored as it appears that Diablo has clarified the GUI to show rich vs lean. 8)

I haven ...

RE: MUCH IMPROVED!!!

I wanted to bring this thread back to life as I am encountering some degradation in performance as of late. It's begun to ping in high load, low RPM situations. For example, I used to be able to go from a dead stop in 2nd gear, but no recently...it pings and knocks pretty badly.

1. My thought is ...

MUCH IMPROVED!!!

Attached is a log file from a couple of WOT shots. With the new file Kevin sent it is 100% better. I can still get it to ping in 4th gear, trying to mat the gas pedal from 1800RPMs, but I can understand and live with that. Up top, it was simply a beast during those two runs I just made. No more 4500 ...

Just a quick update - I drove it tonight, and squeezed it. My god, it is just awful. Pinging badly at 3500 RPMs on up, and then that 'fall on your face' scenario at about 4500 RPMs... It's just terrible.

Brian , my question to you still stands - do you need datalogging info, and if so, what ...
