Re: 05 shift control

and it would be nice to have it for 04 Rams too.

there is communication with the 04 Ram TCM, cuz on the later Croms it will pull a TCM original backup.

however there is no CMR tune template for custom tuning on an 04 Ram TCM.

attached is an 04 Ram TCM original backup.

mikel wrote:Sean, do you have access to the cmr dealer forums?
Sean also posted this in CMR forum, and so far, no-one from Diablo has commented on the CMR forum.

I mentioned more complete shift control for 05 Rams to Johan over a year ago, and he said it was on his "to-do" list.

Re: 05 shift control

Hi guy's. I'd love to see more transmission control for the older trucks. Us drag racers need wot 3 to 4 shift control to stop from going into 4th at the drag strip. That will require 4-5 shift control also. Thanks x2^^ having a full set of functioning shift tables in both drive and tow/haul plus a...

Re: 2012 Shifting

im still having issues with the Trans Shift on hills and wot it is almost like it is lugging/ or shifting way to soon at low speeds 1-2, wondering if there is a way to adjust that? if that would be the firmness fix or something else? 2012 ram 1500 5.7 1-2 shift can be raised to personal preference ...

Re: Non-WOT knock

BTW, up to 2 or 3 degrees of ST knock is fine.

3+ degrees of ST knock needs fixing, IMO.

you may get best results by using 93oct gas and 91oct canned tune.

or get a custom tune.

Re: Non-WOT knock

Oh, I also ordered a speedlogix Catch Can. When I installed my CAI this weekend, I noticed some oil in the intake. I'm sure that's not helping the knock issue at all. Hopefully the catch can helps a bit as well. clean the oil out of the manifold! What would be the best way to do that? I don't parti...

Re: orginal backup its better than tuned

did a quick read of whole thread.

did not see mention of a catch can. oil in your intake manifold can cause a LOT of knock retard, and a catch can will stop oil from getting into the intake manifold.

if someone did recommend a catch can, sorry for the repeat.

vid of my truck with 6600rpm WOT 1-2 and 2-3 shifts. that's above my powerband, but I did this to show that I understand how to set WOT shifts accurately, at any rpm. my current WOT shifts are 6200. Re: 06 Ram rev & shift points

Ah I see. No i'm running stock cams at the moment. I may end up emailing you. I'm not as familiar with 4.7 Rams, I mostly tune 5.7's. stock 5.7 cam with Diablo tuning usually will run it's best 0-60mph somewhere between 5850 and 6050rpm WOT shifts. exhaust mods, cai and head porting can change this...

Re: gear ratio in Trinity

Trinity ... i didn't see an adjustment for the gear ratio. i installed 4.56 gears in my 2013 ram 5.7 no need for gear ratio adjustment on a Ram. they read speed from the ring gear, so gear changes are automatically compensated for. it is the systems that read speed from the driveshaft rpm that need...

if you have a tuner, and have tuned your 2013 Ram, post your last tune written, and I will look at the trans parts of the tune and see what's currently in the tune template.

Re: 06 Ram rev & shift points

speedy,

DO NOT try to load the tune I just posted, it is from another 06 ram, and has wrong vin#.

it could mess up your PCM if you tried to load it in your truck.

please wait for mikel (or other Diablo tech) to add the key changes into the tune he posted a while back.

mikel (or other Diablo tech),

was not able to fine template 56029223ae, so used an original backup from another 06 ram.

changes to add into speedy's tune are located here in the attached tune:

functions>transmission upshift in overdrive

scalars>transmission upshift

Re: 06 Ram rev & shift points

were you guys able to get anything out of the log? took a look at your log, and the tune file. 1-2 only spun to 6,053 but should have gone up to at least 6300rpm if all WOT shift triggers are properly set, IMO. if a shift starts at 6200, you will rev past that a bit before the shift completes. WOT ...
