I just bought a delta chip for my 2001 mustang gt auto with mods of o/r X pipe with flows ,u/d pullies and CAI what does my chip need to be set up for to get the best performance out of my car with a 91oct tune. timing? shift settings? what will make this car get up and go?

I had it reburnt and when I plug it in the car it works sometimes, then when I turn the car off it just shows the dashes again. is this because im not getting a good connection and need to clean it a little bit more?
