I have this problem on my 300C (european one) when trying predator.

It now work after disconnect and reconnect vehicule battery for approx 1 hour.

don't know if it could help.

Return from work travel.

I've found why predator smoke... a component mark as WW180 is like a toast.

Predator could communicate with PC (backup my original file) read the car for trouble code, but not write car with tune.

Could you send me the burned component , I can change it.
I've pics ...

Predator couldn't update car the 1st time so I make CalID needed at screen.
with this update Predator could read car and install stock tune.
Actually at third time connect (some days in each) I choose EGR off tune and choose install tune . at this moment screen of predator looks like a normal ...

Already post in this forum; encouting problem with 300c AWD (european version) and USB/serial prolific driver for update.
This problem simply solve with USB HUB with external supply.

This time problem is more serious !
I've plugged predator 3 times in car.

1st : no comm CalId ...

A extended Predator program with nive GUI and no limit in adding menu or functions.

Ross Tech have a program free to download for VAG car (I've it for precedent car) and the cable (USB connect) hold a chip which unlock program. No original cables, not access ...

no ! that's just a voltage issue !
Yes 3 computers (1 desktop 2 laptop) probably deliver less than USB/serial adapter need.
I've plugged my adapter in USB HUB with external power cord and DSDownloader found predator ...

Predator isn't detected with XP/Vista ... I'll buy a serial/Serial cable to see if better than USB/serial.

Th car is 3.61 version. seams to be the last one the 05 AWD could have. (dealer's talk)
