RE: Recent Chrysler/Dodge Dealership PCM Flash
That's what I said... .no touchy the PCM / ECU... they were cool about it. That said the original question is still there? I've mostly heard no, but kind of yes.... While I think not, I'm also not positive if there is a com for the new 5.7 CAL or not? It'd be kind of nice to know for sure I guess ...

There are a number of guys waining on this I think. Kind of a bummer... I think they are close though If I've read the boards correctly. a few even tried a beta I think. I'm also getting the feeling that it's kind of a complete re-write from what I'm seeing so I'm not sure how that all shakes out or ...

I think it's a sales gimmick when it comes to the skip shift subject. I searched many areas in all the menu's and it's just not listed. the manual (Mopar') say's the solenoid prevents the shift for 1st to 2nd or 2nd to 3rd when certian criteria is met (rpm's, engine temp, and vehicle speed) it's ...

Works for me DGatzby1!!! I'm with you on the "writing is strange sometimes" thing. I have a tough time sometimes trying to decide on how much information is enough.. I feel like I ether don't go deep enough and so generalize to much, or go to deep and put folks to sleep. LOL...

RE: What does "KNOCK" mean
The terms are often used interchangeably..... Knock (that we are talking about) is the result of improper burn, BUT the ignition is 'started' by the spark plug. However because it does not burn smoothly or correctly, the point of highest pressure takes place during the wrong part of the stroke. It ...

Good point but what size wheels and tires were on that B. Those must be thought of as a final 'gear' in the drive system. For lots of reasons the most have 20" or higher wheels today, so what's that give you for total diameter? What did you have back then... then lets compare the where we were in ...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: New 7135 update, rev
No need to feel stupid asking anything IMHO... Being able to set the final gear ratio would be a cool feature, but unfortunately that's not how it works.. If you did put in a different gear set, this is how you would adjust that information in the ECU so the car would read correct on the speedo and ...

I believe it is a 2.2K Ω (2200 Ω), 1/2 watt resistor it goes across the pins that normally go to the coil for the solenoid in the transmission. Basically you are presenting the coil resistance back to the ECU so it does not think the coil is open and throw a trouble code.

I don't know much about your car, but I don't think that's bad at all. It looks to me like You'd have won 2 out of 3 with a bit better RT or a bit more sticky rubber..

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: New 7135 update, revised 09-10 5.7L
If you put the 180 in remember to change your fan settings down to take full advantage of it. Also, if you want you can rase them back up when not at the track. It will take a bit longer to come up to temp with the 180, but it will run at stock temps when you want it to....

The 180* T-stat does not require a CMR if that's what your wondering.
I don't believe that you need to update to r23 from 21 the primary difference as I understand it is vehicle support. Someone else may know different though and chime in.
