RE: Tune/log files?
I'll get 'er installed today as tomorrow the Ram will be towing my 440 Duster to my first Car Show of the year. Wanted to take the Viper, but it doesn't need "SELL" exposure. 500hp Duster for sale. 17mpg (imp) and an extra 250hp Nitrous System Rest-mod worth $32,000 and sale priced at $23,000 Cdn ...

RE: Tune/log files?
Well Johan hasn't sent the Custom tune yet, but I'm hopeful that he'll get 'er to me tomorrow.
Switching to the canned 91 oct tune seems to have solved my "slow reaction" oxy sensor and Cat oiverheat codes - at least for today.

RE: Tune/log files?
Sorry, I meant the "tune file"/drg to send to Johan to get the rear oxy sensor program removed from my PCM and hopefully stop the codes/CELs because I gutted the cars. Johan sent me the info and after searching my computer for the drg file I finally got it sent to him.

Tune/log files?
So what's a Tune file, where do I find it? How do I record it? I thought a tune file was part of a log file? I got a few log files, but need a tune file for a custom tune?

RE: Re: RE: Reposting a log and tune....
Now that's funny. I used to rev it up a touch and turn the dist. until it sounded "just right". That was always 14 Degrees advance with a timing light at idle (perfect). Carbs were feel and read plugs.

Vista? I used an old laptop to get mine working. Also turned out that my USB adapter was malfunctioning.

RE: Re: RE: Gutted Cats
Anything is possible, but open headers is the fastest and best mileage. Cats are restrictive and even hiflow cats lose a little power.

Macedo Motorsports (M2) is southern florida - He's the one that recommended I buy the Predator in the first place. Great tuner - he built my 900bhp Viper

Read my threads on the subject.
Basically, you need to email a log file and one of the mods will rewrite what you need and send it back to you, then you load it into the Predator and upload it into your vehicle.

RE: Re: RE: RANDOM MISFIRE
Another thing that causes misfires is injectors too big or pulse too long. My supercharger system causes misfire codes all the time. I had been running a '96 ECU because they didn't use a misfire counter in their programming. (Viper).

RE: Re: RE: how do i delete cats?
I gutted my cats and strapped the rear sensors to the sides. No CELs and I've got over 300miles on it. M@ Motorsports in Florida said that the trucks (I have a Ram 1500) may not show CELs although the cars will give CELs.

One of those files is instructions. Open them until your find the isntructions and go from there. It may also be possible to load the exe file and have your instal wizard do the work?
