RE: Software—PC vs Mac?
Yeah uh huh??? I think you have that backwards. I have a G5 powermac that is 6 years old that will out run any PC built today. Miicrosoft is the main problem with PC's and the Mac OS knows what I want to do before I even turn it on. Of course to each his own. But saying Macs are limited is just not ...

RE: Software—PC vs Mac?
I tried putting XP on my macbook and it took a complete reinstall of Leopard to get it to work right again. Sorry but I cannot stand windows and hope someday the predator is Mac compatible. Until then I use my wife's PC which is the one out 7 computers in my house that is a PC. Good luck finding a ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
OK here we go. I hope I chose the right pids this time. Only 1 misfire and the only thing I changed was I wrapped a thick layer of black tape aroung the wire that goes to the sensor. The part with the insulation was touching one of my catch can hoses. I did hold the wot as long as possible ,but I ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
Well I did check the sensor and the sensor itself was not touching anything. The wire was touching one of my catch can hoses, but it was the insulated part. I went ahead and wrapped a thick layer of black tape around it especially the half inch where there is no insulation around the wires. Maybe it ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
I have no clue which pids to choose or which group they are in. I called your tech support line from the car and read your post about the actual misfire per cylinder and he told me to check all the pids in the misfire group. I do not think a hose or metal is touching the sensor, but I will check ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
Uh maybe this one.
Yeah well the sign says 70mph. I didn't see the one where it said I couldn't reach it under 6 seconds officer, honest I swear! Literally speaking, I live near an interstate so it is not difficult for me to do some 0-75 runs without breaking the law as long as I am on the ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
Alright I have fixed the vacuum hose on the CAI. I removed the fuse from the sub amp and kept stereo turned off, no lights or ac were on either. The car is running really strong and the run was quite exhilerating except for missing 3rd gear on my first 2 launches. I live near an interstate so going ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
Well Quick it isn't exactly a MEGA stereo, but I wish it were. The car comes stock with a 276 watt amp running 6 speakers. I have installed a single 12" sub box with a 400 watt amp and it sounds good, but it isn't quite mega. I am not sure how much voltage it draws, but I figured that mopar has two ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
9am here and I just reloaded the CAI91oct tune with adjustments as follows. Tire size settings at 245/45R/20. -10 degrees on all fan settings putting my min. at 180.39 and my max. at 189.39. I also changed WOT fuel settings to rich 3% across the board. The car ran strong again, but it does seem to ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
Alright now, I am back. being a member of the Challenger ZZZZ Forum I posted about my misfire problem. It was suggested that I have Jonah look at my data log files and that he could help me out. Quick, i also appreciate your input as well! The data log files are all listed in this thread from 91oct ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
Here is the same factory tune with the actual spark cyl 1 added. The car ran real strong earlier and now it runs rough when it sits and idles. Could I have a bad wire or something? I did install a sub box with a 400 watt amp last week and I did not put a cap inline, although I plan on it or ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
Ok now I am worried. The car ran so strong but the misfires being bad scares me. I reinstalled my original backup. I assume that removed the fan settings and fuel mixture changes I made. I still see 3 misfires and I am worried even more. Please list each item you want me to log because I seem to be ...

RE: Re: RE: Newby
OK here is my second log file. She was running strong but by looking at the file, on my WOT it looks like my timing needs adjusted a little? I am no expert, but that is what I think I see. What is up with all the misfires? I have about 3800 miles on this car and only run BP/Amoco 93 octane.

RE: Newby
Thanks, I will try these options. I was only logging what the intro page told me to log for my first log. The intake temp was to see if my CAI was really pulling cold air or not. I think I read in one of these threads where you are a Chrysler engineer? I worked for Chrysler the past 14 years and the ...
