I agree D360, I've been looking at the locking tabs.
There's quite a bit of material on the tips.
I'm thinking that some work with a flat file will probably solve the problem.
I'd hate to start whittlin' on the chassis...

RE: Re: Worked fine now nothing
It needs to be recognized that no computer/software based product will ever be "bug-free" and will constantly be evolving.
The Trinity is a damn robust unit and works quite well aside from a few minor issues here and there.
It could be the cable manufacturer that did not deliver the tolerances ...

Re: Worked fine now nothing
Just installed it today... worked ok... gauges were a bit erratic and read my boost at 26 at idle. Drove down the road and it all went to 0 and said that I needed to reconnect... so I did, and it didnt help.
Sounds like the "bad" cable issue Tim.

Kewl Mike! :D
That's what people want to hear when there are product issues like this. Kudos..., we all understand stuff like this happens with the evolution of a new product.
Feschuk's post validates my concerns.

Ummm...not sure what else to say...I am 100% sure the cable will seat with a bit of force, I have done it hundreds of times, without breaking anything....

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: all these cable related issues with Trin
That's not the "replacement" cable.
I had the same issues with the unit constantly losing the connection. The replacement cable fix the connectivity issues.
And, it was already tough to get the cable "locked" with the original.
Now, it is impossible!
Which one do U have sfla_srt4?

It will come with the production cable.. No problems for ya!

Just a thought, Have you tried to put the cable inside the freezer for an hour or so and then install it.
I'll give it a try just out of curiosity..., but really, what gives?

RE: Re: RE: Replacement Cable for Trinity will not lock into
Mike, my wife is constantly complaining about the severity of my "G.I. Joe Kung Fu Grip"; if I can't get this connector to seat, no one will (without something breaking; probably the Trinity housing). I don't want to take a chance. I was very forceful with it already. I'd be glad to send this unit ...

Re: RE: Replacement Cable for Trinity will not lock into por
Since the Trininty's Monitor and Dataloging has been so troublsome, I have to remove and reconnect the cable to reboot. Often while driving.(6-8 times last night on the way home :x  :x  ) Unfortunately I've gotten pretty good at it.
