Well it's a 2006 srt8 charger with a little over 40000 miles. With that many miles would I have to clean it reguardless or would it eventually burn off?

i've got a max of 8.0 on my ST retard and 1.0 on my LT retard @ WOT. it holds pretty much @ 0 at idle and normal driving. what type of adjustment do i make here. looking at a few other peoples logs if there has been significant knock retard, it's been on both the ST and LT.
