Tune Required For CAI?
U7146
2004 Mustang GT
Is a tune required for the 2004 4.6 L engine when running a CAI from S&B. I realize you don't get much extra power with just a CAI. Just want to know if the car will run lean without a tune?

RE: Diablo Tunes v.s. custom tune
Thanks Shaken. That's one of the first things I did when I started using my Predator, just to be safe. Is running the one of the Diablo performance tunes of for a generic CAI or do I need a custom tune designed specifically for that intakes air flow?

I seem to have lost support for this issue. Is it better to call tech support? This can't be the first time something like this has happened. Will restoring the original backup and importing my custom tune back into the tool mess anything up? I don't want to guess at this and lock out the tool or ...

Where do I find an old version to put back on the tool? I'm not the original owner of the car/tool. Does Diablo Sport keep records so we could possibly figure out when the tool was purchased and put that revision on there by using serial number on the tool? Maybe the custom tune has some sort of ...

I haven't actually tried to make any tune changes with the Predator, just exported the tunes for backups. Also, I did an export of all the tunes before and after I did the revision update. So my origanl backup I exported before the revision update should be good, correct? I want to make sure when I ...

RE: Reading extra tune
last tune written is fbfg2ty.frg . Does this file name llok like a Ford factory tune? Problem I'm having is a tried exporting the "custom_tune.frg" for a CMR dealer to read, but the dealer indicated he was unable to open tune. I was told by the previous owner of my car that the car already had the ...
