Just wanted to update this thread ...With MonteSS's help, I was able to do everything neccessary to get data logged into the tool, then downloaded to my laptop and into "DSLogredux". "The ECKS fatal error" is no longer a factor for me.

Sorry to hear your Predator is giving you issues. Despite the "ECKS Fatal Error" I've gotten on my Predator ...everything seems to work fine. I actually just completed a logging session ...downloaded the data to my laptop, and played with the data and did some tuning.

I hope yours resets ...

yeah ..I guess I assumed that when I hit the center button to acknowledge that "continue" and it gave me those four options ...I was commited to selecting one of them. I'll do the esc thing today. Although it "begs the question" ...what is the purpose or funtion of those two menu options?

Two of the options (don't remember the exact language?), that "imply" saving/recording the data to the tool. Select either of those options and I get the "ECKS fatal error", and it prompts you to "re ...

Well, the tuner works fine (it has the latest revision on it 09-r10). I even made some adjustmaents to the LTFT's ...what a difference! But it's like "Nodaker" says ...I'm only getting 3-4 minutes at best of "data logging" before it says "log full". Then there is no option that asks if I want to ...

Just got a Predator for my new 2009 Sierra 5.3L. Lew and the guys (ladies too I bet! 8) ) at Diablo Sport have been awesome! Fast and extremely knowledgable support ..not to mention ensuring my "M code" engine was supported in thier current revisions. Thanks Dudes (ladies too of course!)

Just wanted to come back here and thank MonteSS and the folks at Diablo Sport for the awesome customer service! I see you guys even updated the web page apps chart to show the "M" code ...

joeyz71 ...thanks for the reply. Yeah, I hope that "M" code engine was accidently overlooked by the Dudes at Diablo Sport when they created that application list. I was hoping someone from DS would weigh in on this one.

So as far as I can tell, the U7194 programmer for my 2009 Sierra 5.3l (provided its even compatable with my "M code" engine? ...see other post "anyone running a DS on a "M" code ...") has a 87 octane and a 93 octane tune.

I live in Alaska, and the highest pump octane available is 90 (aint that ...

I have a new 2009 GMC Sierra with the 5.3l, and 6-speed transmission. The engine code on the "8th Digit VIN#" is "M" (RPO LH6) "aluminum block and Aluminum heads ...non-flexfuel".

I'm trying to buy a Dioblo Sport Predator for it, but there seems to be a conflict in the web-page's application guide ...
