will this help me with the maf making the car run rich and searching for idle?

I changed my stock meter and harness to the newer style does it make a difference if i order the 96 up mafia or should i get the 95-88 mafia? and change my pigtail back? just cureous if there are any interferances in programming or is it the same and just the paigtails are different thanks
