Re: I3 unlock and/or new license???

So, for my 2018 Corvette, I would also need the GM Unlock purchase?

Re: Shift firmness 8 speed '18 Corvette

Thanx, Monte, that's what I thought. Too bad, as it worked great on my 2013.

Re: Shift firmness 8 speed '18 Corvette

Thanx for the reply, Mike. Is there a noticeable difference with the firm shift selected?

Shift firmness 8 speed '18 Corvette

I know in the past you have not been able to adjust the 8 speed tranny for GM cars. Now I see "shift firmness" as a feature. Can I adjust the shift firmness in my '18 Stingray with the device? It was a major plus when I had my '13. I've bought your products for the '13 and the ;06 before it and have ...

Re: GM 8 speed tuning now available

Thanx, not surprised. The resellers should be careful. There is something called fraud...interesting that the website for Hypertech doesn't even list Corvettes.

Re: GM 8 speed tuning now available

Interesting, Monte, and as I've always valued your input, I'm sure you're correct--it makes sense that if it could be done, you would have. However, in the Ecklers C7 catalog I just got, they clearly state 6 and 8 speed trannies and 2014-2018 (page 16). I'll have to check their website. Thanx for ...

Re: GM 8 speed tuning now available

I'm confused. Hypertech claims they can tune the A8 tranny including '17 and '18 models. But you say you can't because of encryption. I've had Hypertech products in the past and liked them, but really liked the Intune I bought for my '13 Vette specifically because of the great tranny tune, and would ...

Couple of questions

Been a while since I've been on, so bear with me if these have been asked and answered several times.. :?
On my 2013 Vette--which I just traded in on a 2018, hence the questions:
pressing the start button with foot off the brakes, A6, puts and keeps the car in run mode to use the Intune, correct ...

Re: Tune causing Check engine?

Thread is important. Too much air past the MAF will cause the lean codes bank 1 and 2 you got. I had the same problem with my Halltech Superbee when it let too much air into the filter , not bypassing the MAF. If your car has the Hitachi MAF like my '13 Corvette, it is super sensitive, and the ...

Re: TPMS with Diablo tune relearn

Makes sense, Lew. Still wondering about the relearn TPMS with the tune, though. May just put stock tune back, get the wheels mounted and have the "customer satisfaction" low beam fix done at the dealer the next day or 2, and then reinstall. That's assuming no snow in the forecast for 2-3 days!

TPMS with Diablo tune relearn

I am getting new wheels for my '13 Corvette. The car has the 91 octane tune, firm tranny tune, fans % reset. Can the TPMS sensors be reset with the Intune loaded? Someone on Corvette Forum mentioned he had to return the tune to stock, as the loaded tune would not allow relearn for the TPMS sensors ...

Re: Cooling fans running to long

Never set fans to come on below the thermostat open temp. The lowest temp they should kick on at is ~10 degrees over T-stat setting. What kind of car do you have? I've never heard of a 203 degree thermostat. Generally, they are ~ 190, and stock fans come on 12-15 degrees higher.
