The best suggestion I could give you is get a custom tune from Lew (06MonteSS). He can hook you up with all your needs in a tune. His custom tunes are awesome.

If you want to do it yourself, I'll let others chime-in for their suggestions.

RE: 2000 Silverado 5.3 Predator Tuning Help

Like Lew suggests, use the 87 or 91 octane tunes. Get the LTFT dialed in and set your other parameters the way you would like them.

After that's done, I HIGHLY suggest you get a custom tune from Lew (06MonteSS). You won't regret it. He's a master at getting more out of the truck than what comes ...

Re: Corvette Servo in 07' Z-71 MAX 6.0L gas

I put the Corvette Servo in the other day, wow...it changes just a smooth under normal driving conditions. I didnt think it had changed anything until I got in it. It held gear a little bit longer and then it changed in to 2nd and I think I heard the new 33s chirp on the back. Well worth the $30 to ...

Re: shift problem

I have a 99 seirra 6.0 I can't seem to get the 2nd gear shift right. It really hits hard if I'm half throttle or beter and I mean break you neck. If I put a stock tune in is fine. The touqe mang is on as well

I have a question since I'm having a similar issue with the tune installed. Have you ...

What if you have a sometimes large spread between bank 1 and bank 2?

How large of a spread between banks are you talking about?

The long-term fuel trims adjust in increments of 0.78. It's common for the banks to be off from each other to some extent but should be reasonably close like two to ...

I stand corrected.

Lew knows his stuff better than I. He'll set you up. I've heard nothing but praise about his tunes.

Running too lean could mean air leaks. A tune won't fix that. Your O2 sensors are reading too much oxygen in the closed loop system.

Recheck you intake install and make sure everything is tight. Air leaks after the MAF can throw the PCM calculations off because more air is getting in than what the ...

I might be wrong, but, I believe you want the voltage to be low and steady. Meaning, low voltage indicates a low oxygen content in the exhaust after the cat. The post cat sensors main job is to monitor the cats ability to store oxygen. A steady high voltage output from the sensor would indicate a ...

I believe that code is for the fuel pump circuit actually. But, irregardless, I doubt the predator can be used to fix that code. You need to take it to a mechanic for a proper diagnosis and fix.

I don't think speed matters. It's the RPM range you need the most. In my experience, I haven't noticed much diifference in the LTFT results doing different speeds that fall within the recommended RPM range.

Speed doesn't matter as long as you are at a steady cruise speed in the 1800 to 2200 RPM range.

Likely the difference you are seeing is at 55 MPH you are less than 1800 RPMs. In my truck, I have to go 61-63 MPH to get over 1800.

Your 70 MPH readings are probably in the correct range so use those ...

I take it that the reflash installed a stock tune? If this is the case, your Predator may still be locked to the old PCM.

Plug the tool in and select Options and then select Tool Status, does it say "Locked"? If it does, you'll have to have DS unlock it for you. But, you have an older version like ...

All of the monitors require a set of conditions to be met before they run. When you switch tunes with the Predator, the monitors are all reset. To the best of my knowledge, they should all run regardless of the tune installed by the Predator. I have been back and forth between the stock and the 87 ...
