Good luck. It would never work for me. Finally bought HP tuners, and even they have the problem if you just tell it to change tire size, something funny with GM's code, but at least you can work around it. I finally just changed the VSS speed sensor ratio. But since you only have 40 pulses per rev ...

RE: 2008 Silverado - ABS & Brake Light
I have same problem, same year and engine
changed tire size, injector slope, DOD disable, cot disable, speed limiter 1 to 120 mph, left limiter 2 to 155 mph. Have tried turning them off also, no change.

RE: LTFT calculation factors, Really, and not just O2
Evidently it finally logged me in on my other username lol.
There isn't any sensor for air for each engine bank is there? All MAP's and MAF's are just an overall? I just don't see anything that only affects one bank only, and since they have the same O2 sensor reading and that's out of the equation ...

RE: LTFT calculation factors, Really, and not just O2
Thanks, but I didn't switch sensors, I totally unhooked the sensor on bank 1 so it's not even reading it. So now then, the O2 input to the ECM for bank 1 and 2 is identical, but it says bank 1 lean, so it's more to it than the O2 reading.
Can't tune for anything when it says lean, even though it ...

RE: Normal engine spark timing
Thanks. So 91 octane will work alright on the "93" octane tune? I like to shop at the places with real 100% gas, no eth, and I think 91 is as high as they have it there.

Normal engine spark timing
Can you not adjust the spark timing for normal driving, only WOT?
On a silverado, is says the 91 tune isn't available.
If I use the 93 tune, and run 89 octane gas, will the computer just adjust my timing when the knock sensors go off to where it should be for 89 (still better than stock 87?). If ...
