I guess I could go that route, I was hoping to be able to use the predator "out of the box" and not keep bothering anyone. But if you prefer me to do it that way, then I will send the factory tune.

Mike - About six months ago, I sent you my Predator for an upgrade to the new release. The new version program never really did very well with my car. Have a lot of part-throttle pings, especially under load (lugging).

I tried adjusting everything I could including the slope, can't quet the motor ...

yeah slightly modified with the Predator. Fansettings and lowered LTFTs -5%. I notice the O2 readings look ok so I'm gonna leave them alone for now.

You haven't heard from me in a while. Did a few things. Went back to the stock tune but adjusted LTFT...they were also pretty high. Reset the PCM overnight, and just cruising for a while. So far so good.

sounds good...but I cant figure why going rich leads to more part-throttle pings. Isn't that opposite of what it should be?

ok so I drove 20 miles so far. It feels much more peppy. But to my disappointment, I seem to be pinging MORE than before. This seems opposite.

Am I correct in saying +9.20 indicates I'm too lean? If yes, then correcting that should alleviate pings - not add more. Very strange.

Took the advice of this post to make some adjustments. I am assuming that it's correct to do this to the Diablo performance tune.

LTFT bank 1 & 2 were +9.3 avg and +7.4 avg @ 55MPH. So looks like I was running quite lean - no wonder i was pinging part-throttle.
