Did you guys ever come up with anything to disable the tq management?

Your truck also has a 2 piece flywheel, Ive seen some that were shaky from this.

I would only use a pressure box such as the puck or mp8 with it.

why the downgrade?

I went 463/1023 on the rkl tunes and my MP-8. I dynoed one day later after installing my AD150 so I would bet that you could be running out of fuel. The thing about the 03 04 trucks is that the turbos are horrible.

Ive seen my gauges peg at 1600*....lol the darn mustang just wouldnt give up.

Just use the perf. tune with your puck when you get it.

Since Ive nerver used a smarty what advantages will I see with the tq management turned off/turned down?

I have always thought that the predator makes great power on the 03-04 trucks compared to any other tuner out there. Do you feel that it makes alot more than the smarty? I am guessing your getting it sent back for the POD? Mikel was supposed to e mail me some tunes with decreased Tq management but ...

I have noticed my truck having timing rattle and a surge at idle when running these two tunes. I never paid it much attetion up until we started using extreme and RKL tunes on my brothers 06 that never has any timing rattle. What could the cause be?

If I do that I will loose shift on the fly right? In my lil bros truck the R14 does great.
