This is an easy one. When you remove the PCM it thinks that the vehicle is stolen and shuts down. This is noted if the dash light shows a "lock" symbol. There is a reset procedure to follow and it's fairly simple but takes about 45 minutes to do:

I have a 2004 Chevy Avalanche and I want to install electric fans from a 2005 Avalanche. Is there a way that I can use the programmer to set the fan turn on/off points? I don't see a fan function listed in the prompts. Do I need to purchase a 2005 computer to get this function?
