Your tuner needs to adjust the tune so you don't get the code. Did you tell him you were adding the 170 t -stat? most tuners know to do the adjustment...if they know you have a 170 t-stat.

After some time the issue returned with the stock tune.

online research has indicated it most likely is a sensor in the NAG-1, probably one of the two sensors located in or near the valve body.

Your tuner is who you should ask to see what he set the rev limit at. It's probably already at 6200.
No changing the rev limit will not change the shift point. The rev limit needs to be above the shit point as the shift point is a target and it may rev past that point when the revs are coming up ...

Hey there gene

you should be able to set shift firmness....do you have any codes?
If you do it will probably be a communication code as the tuner cannot read Transmission codes.

I'm pretty sure you cannot turn of MDS, you need a CMR tuner for that.

I wouldn't advise running the car on Dyno mode ...
