Ok I've got a really dumb question but it's always bugged me...

I have a custom tune to flash over, I select the tune, hit Install, and it prompts to "Reset all Parameters Y/N?" What exactly is it asking to reset? Stock parameters? Previously-written tune parameters? Parameters on the custom tune ...

played around with it some more today...seems like the names of the PIDs have changed since the old revision but I can still log most of the proper data (also had to log some DMRs not sure what those are, seemed to be redundant). Anyways there's still one or two PIDs I cannot find listed, unless ...

CMR tuner wants me to log parameters that I cannot find on the tool revision I have. I google searched and found a menu map from ver 8r17 someone made, which showed all the parameters listed the tuner wants. Does that mean I will need an older crom file to get this guy the necessary ...

P1000 will reset after some driving (there is a specific set of driving instructions from Ford, but if you just do some combined city + highway it should clear itself after 50-100 miles)...the other P codes...good luck!

agreed I got a used tuner for my 06 v6 for $50 because the guy said it was crap...I updated the firmware and it went from a $50 tool to a $200 tool. along those same lines...we always hear so much about SCT email tunes from AM, BAMA, etc....does anyone still write tunes for the predator? Is an email tune worth it/much different from the canned 93 octane tune that came with the tool?

Predator version 9r04, 2006 mustang v6 auto, JLT tune 93 octane, firm shifts.

Wondering if anyone else has noticed a weird dip in their RPMs occurs about 1sec. after the 4-->5 shift at WOT, happens at exactly 104mph and 3600rpm every time. Has showed up on every data log, RPMs drop from about 3600 ...

so right now even with rev. limit off and shift point (RPM) set at 6000, car shifts around 5600 almost every gear going WOT from a dead or rolling stop. However, if i'm already driving (let's say highway) and go WOT shifts are even lower at about 4k...do I need to change the RPM shift points or the ...

What's the difference between changing shift points using RPM versus MPH? I'm also new at modding just trying to figure out what some of these parameters do. Thanks!
