What's happening is that the tune is adding fuel to compensate for the CAI. Try the 91 octane tune w/out CAI and you'll probably get the 4mpg you've lost. Never heard of anyone buying an SRT8 that was concerned about gas mileage. Trade it in for the 3.5L if you want better MPG.

Throttle boost at 20% helps and in the future just unplug the battery for 10 mins and it resets everything. Also I would recommend using 93 octane gas with the 91 tune or just load the 93 octane tune instead. It's way more punchy with the 93 tune.

No. When it prompts you to "Reset Parameters" during the 93 CAI tune press 'NO' and it will retain the fan settings.

In mode 1 I was able to disable auto-upshift but only could see 1,2,3,4,D. In mode 2 it did not disable auto-upshift and sometimes prematurely shifted at 2500-3000 rpm 1st to 2nd so I tried mode 3. My TCM version is from 2007 so I think that's the issue as Mike suggested. Let me know if you come up with anything.

Wow thanks for the response... I am not one to just upgrade to a new version without understanding what the changes are. Version 9r28 has the "Raised Shift Points" so why upgrade an SRT8? If I understood why then I would take the time to make the change.

Thinking about upgrading from 9r28 to 9r29. What are the major differences? I'm seeing allot of folks having issues with 9r29 so I am hesitant to upgrade.

You should have felt a major difference out of the gate. If I were you I would try reverting back to stock then reload the 93 Octane w/CAI tune. Did you clear the TCM Adaption in Quick Settings? If not, make sure to do that every time you install a new tune to clear your driving habits and timing of ...

What does the dealer need to update? I tried mode 2 &3 and they both auto-upshift.

I could see 5th before I changed it to Mode 1. I don't think I need an update. I'll try Mode 2 tonight.

I changed to Autostick Mode 1 last night and on my way to work this morning noticed that it only displays 1,2,3,4,D. I am going to change to mode 2 tonight. Does anyone know if it will add 5th gear?

I'm happy with it not auto up shifting though.
