Use my Predator to "backup" my H/C package dyno tu

I'm having a head, intake, and cam package put on my C6 Corvette LS2. I had to reload the stock tune prior to dropping the car off so the Predator is now unlocked. Question: The tuner is using HP Tuner so can I use my 7194 to backup mt tune? That way if the dealer ever does me a favor and upgrade ...

RE: not a bad thing!

From what I know about this situation, IF you restored the original tune to your car and then had it custom tuned the factory tune is gone, unless you backed it up to your PC. If when you hooked the Pred up after the custom tune and it downloaded the tune as a new Pred does, the Pred now "thinks" it ...

RE: 06,C6 getting H/C and has Pred LT tune

When I hook up my Predator AFTER the custom tune the Predator will DL the custom tune thinking it's the factory tune and it will again be married to my car. GREAT.

Thank you Mike, Don V

06,C6 getting H/C and has Pred LT tune

2006 Corvette C6, Predator 7194 with the LT tune uploaded
I'm having a H/C done next month along with a dyno/street tune. They say I have to upload the stock tune. If I do that, when the car is returned to me the Predator will no longer be married to the car? When I bought the Predator I had a ...

As was suggested, you should restore the original backup to your car before having it flashed to stock.
Thank you for your help. The re-flash and update went fine, I understand about your "locking" procedure. FYI - I uploaded the Pred tune in the dealers parking lot. Runs good, more torque then ...

Hi John C - Thank your for clarifying that for me in regards to viewing the files. I understand the viewing/massaging program is only for you and your dealers. no problem but I also felt someone can open those files.

Regarding the BU file - I'll keep my canned tune as my backup then and have the ...

Thanks for your reply and Sorry about the lack of info on the model and car. 6194 being used on a 2006 C6 Corvette.

1. I thought that since it's a program, some program would allow it to be viewed. It had to be written in programming language so it should be able to be viewed.

2. The original ...

.lan file?

I exported my backup file to my PC and it's a .lan extension. Now what? It's a mailorder tune and I want to look at it before having my PCM flashed stock on Monday.

I have upgraded your version software so I assume from reading that tune is gone, correct? When I plug the Pred in after the Stock ...
