RE: Installed u7146 - No Difference

I mean it idols at a lower RPM after the tune than it did before the tune. It also runs at lower RPM with half throttle during normal driving. (It took off about a 500 RPM difference from pre tune to post tune).

RE: Installed u7146 - No Difference

I installed the diablo sport predator tune, and yes, the car is stock other than the K&N FIPK. I havn't modified the predator tune at all. What I have noticed is that it runs at lower RPMs... but I havn't noticed a power increase at all. I've had opinions from several other different people as well ...

Installed u7146 - No Difference

Maybe my butt dyno is broken, but I installed the u7146 Diable Sport Tune on my 02 Stang and it feels like I lost power! I definately do not feel a power increase. At the same time I installed a K&N FIPK. I should be able to feel something between the two of them... but dont.

RE: shifts!

Chris:

Well put. I don't want gears to slip and burn up the tranny, but at the same time I don't want to be slamming gears and breaking stuff. Does anyone have a happy medium? What shift points/pressures have others tuned on their rides that provides a safe medium for every day drivability?

Thanks ...

RE: additives to gas

May I ask why? Wouldn't fuel injector cleaners be good for the engine?

Thanks.

RE: shifts!

I've been wondering the same thing for my 2002 GT. Is there a certain point that the shift pressure is too much for the durability and reliability of an every day car? I want a nice firm shift but don't want to be slamming gears and breaking stuff.

4.6L 2002 Stang - Running Rich or Lean

So I've got a 4.6L 2002 Mustang Convertible with a K&N air intake system and a Flow Master exhaust (stock 3.55 gears). Other than that the car is totally stock. I just bought a Diablosport predator and though I have been reading the Sport Pred forums for the last couple weeks, I still have some ...

Need a dependable street car

I just bought my 02 Mustang GT several days ago and want to beef it up a bit, but I need it to be a dependable everyday street car. I thought about new gears but decided 373's or 410's wouldn't be for an everyday street car. I also thought about a shift kit until a guy at the tranny shop said that ...

Shift Firmness Question

If you increase the shift firmness, will it be rough on the tranny? I have an 02 Mustang GT -- stock so far but I plan to do some upgrading. The car won't be going to the track every weekend, it will be a street car with a little more juice, so I need it to be dependable. Will the sport predator ...
