Mike;
I finally had a chance to do a little testing of the MDS off setting. Again, I run about 80kms per day on the highway, and about 20 kms per day in traffic. I've tracked my fuel usage since day 1 of owning the car (it was new) and after 35,000 kms, without the Predator tune, I get 22.2 mpg ...

Hi Edwin;
The only logging I can do at this time is with the Predator, and from what I hear, it's not accurate enought to do a tune from. I was hoping to be able to dyno and tune the car, but it seems in my part of Canada, everyone is doing Diesel Trucks and of course Mustangs etc. No Hemi people ...

Well the resounding silence probably explains why I can't find anyone in a 500 mile radius who will do this. Damn!

Looking for a CMR Tuner in Alberta (Canada)

I know this is a bit of a flier, but I am having difficulty locating someone in Alberta that will do a CMR / dyno tune on the Hemi's.

I was really hoping that someone who lives in the province has had a good experience with a company, and would like to recommend them????

If it matters, we are ...

No I don't think the Predator can clear that light. You may be able to clear it by disconnecting your battery for a few minutes, but I would not do that either. The light is on because your air bags have a problem. You do not say what year or even model of car you have, but if you are driving an LX ...

Mike, I would offer mine (actually the wife's daily driver) in a minute if we were near to each other. I don't think it will be hard to find a car that has the issue though. It's seems that tons of the 5.7s have the issue. Maybe the next time you have one in for tuning, check it for the pulse or ...

Thanks to everyone for relaying their own experiences with this. I personally do not want to disable MDS. My fuel bills for the year are already over $6,000 and while 10% might not mean much to the average driver, every 10% means $600 to me. The same questions remain unanswered:

Mike:
Can Diablo ...

Well, it seems I lied in my above post. Even with NO Firmer Shifting selected on the 91 CAI tune, on my 06 300C, I am still getting some surging still. I can tell by the faint change in the exhaust note when MDS turns off and I'm running on all 8 again, and the car seems to pick up about 200 RPMs ...

I had this issue as well. When driving on roads that had some rolling hills, I noticed it would actually down shift when it came out of MDS, in order to maintain the correct cruise speed. When I turn off the Firmer Shift option, in other words, just take the settings that come with the tuner, and do ...

Did you have a 5th gear in your manual shift display BEFORE you got your Tuner? Probably not is my guess, as the Predator does not change anything on the Transmission Control Module (TCM) and that's where the display of 5th gear comes from.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Which Gasoline Octanes Are Supported By

Mike - If a guy was to set up for 89 Octane as you described above, let's say for the winter months. Would there still be any benefits to the car? ie would the MPG be better than the stock tune, or would there be a little more power than the stock tune still? Just curious, as our winters are really ...
