RE: Trinity/Zt-2

Changed to those settings, but it's still about .3 low on that scale at idle.

Trinity/Zt-2

I haven't found the settings to get this to read with the Zt-2 gauge.

Anyone have the trick?

I've set the purple wire to linear, and both it and the white wire show leaner reads than the LCG display or PC log.

RE: EGT questions..

I installed the EGT module, and then noticed the PCM calculated cat temp in the Trinity parameters also.

Assuming I programmed properly on the install, the actual probe read is about 60% of the calculated temp read from the OBDII.

RE: Input on EGT temps

I got a response from another forum user with aeroForce gauges, and he was reading 1500.

Then I discover the parameter on the Trinity and it reads the same.

If I configured the DS EGT module properly, the temp is much more like I expected, around 900F which makes me feel much better.

Ivan,
What's your PCM flash end in?

I was fine on decel until flashed to PCM file ending in AL. Now the car doesn't cut fuel and stays at stoic during decel, like you're describing.

RE: Input on EGT temps

Shouldn't be. It's on my parameters on my gauge set - but a calculated PCM read.
My industrial engines have it for each cylinder, along with peak firing pressure, valve lap, and a bunch of neat stuff that allows us to get down to really low emissions.

My concern continues to be the extreme temps ...

RE: Input on EGT temps

I'm surprised that with all the aftermarket gauges, no one has a answer for this.

I swapped tunes and got on it a bit, and saw 1800 calculated.

I bought the Trinity EGT unit and got it mostly installed today. Just need to complete the wiring.

My original intent was to get my Zietronics A/F read ...

Input on EGT temps

The EGT is a calculated PCM read.

Does anyone with added gauges or a DS temp probe know what EGT should be running on a hemi?

RE: EGT questions..

I don't recall the pre stroker motor being over 1000 to 1200 under load.
So were you able to make tune adjustments to lower the temp?

RE: EGT questions..

Thanks Giz and search!

Hey Diablo,

I know you're busy with our tunes, but please change the install instructions. 1/8 NPT would be nice and the proper drill size.

Now get back to work on our tunes!

Can't wait to have an accurate exhaust temp.
PCM calc says I'm over 1500F. That will melt a cat ...
