I left DCXDepot with a brand new N/A 426 that destroyed itself in less than 7000 miles. My knock sensors were TURNED OFF below 212 degrees F, someone took a rat-tail file to my crankshaft gear to try to make it fit the K-1 crank radius which put my oil pump in a bind which in turn wiped out my main ...

RE: CMR generated file
Thank you Mikel.
So the .frg file generated by the CMR softwate is basically the changes to my original stock factory "tune?"...hence the different file extension? I assume then that the Tool recognizes the .frg for what it is and applies the changes contained inside to the factory tune when loaded.

RE: Added more fuel...WOW..
Lol. I drove from sea level to where I live at 7000 feet and had to REMOVE 12% WOT fuel just to get back to 12.0 to 1 A/F ratio.

I am curious about the file generated by the CMR tune loaded in to my car. What is an .frg file and why is it so different from my original back file in .extension and size? Assuming I wanted to I could load my original backup (doubt it would start), then reload my ...

Re: RE: Modifying the TCM?
What bog? I haven't noticed it. In fact, this morning I was screwing around with the ESP off and on the 1-2 shift she layed rubber.
That happens. However, if I nail it and spin right through first gear the car hits it's shift to second and blah, pulls power. Bog.

Modifying the TCM?
When can we achieve the same results using the Predator that a couple of vendors are selling "upgraded" TCMs for?
I still haven't found anyone to solve the 1-2 quick shift bog.
Thanks guys and gals.

Wideband A/F devices
Do you have any suggestions/comments about which wideband A/F ratio capture devices work well with your tool?
I am waiting for a custom tune from PPP (6.1 Maxx heads/Zoomers/Airraid/6500 feet altitude) for my '06 SRT8 but really want to gather and log A/F ratio data so I know where I am at right ...

RE: Exporting original backup file
Got your response on LXForums to my above 2nd question. Thanks. I am waiting for Andy at PPP to put a tune together suitable to my application.

RE: Exporting original backup file
Answered on LXforums.... Thanks for the response Mike.
Since I didn't restore the back-up before updating the tool, what would you suggest I do? Is this done in case of a corruption of the original tune during the update process? I do have a copy of the backup original tune on 2 PCs. Is it ...

Exporting original backup file
I needed to send my original backup to PPP to get a custom tune as I have the CNC'd heads and live at 6500 feet altitude. I updated my car to DCX's latest then used the tool to save my car's original backup. I then brought the tool inside and saved the backup to my PC. I noticed the file extension ...
