Re: 16-19 BMW 340i needed in Sanford
The 21+ Supra 3.0 uses the same B58D motor and computer as the 19-20 M340i and Z4 M40i. For 21 though BMW changed all B58s over to semi hybrid with the 48V electrical system, except the Z4 and Supra. Wonder if the DMEs are the same.....

Re: 16-19 BMW 340i needed in Sanford
So when you starting on the new Gen B58D in the M340, Supra, M40i, etc? I should have a 22 X3 M40i available. Supposed to be finalizing a deal tomorrow. The M550 has to go. Its costing me a fortune. 12mpg. New front tires at 7300 miles. Alignments every 4 months. Spraying coolant. Ridiculous insuran...

Re: Hey Mike.....
LOL. Steve Dinans new company Carbahn Autoworks hit me up on Facebook. They want the car for 2-3 days in San Jose in exchange for a tune and factory matching warranty. I’m like, dude, I’m in Florida. I won’t send the car to Alabama, but I’m gonna send it to California? No thanks. I mean I’d love to ...

Re: Hey Mike.....
Yeah, thats why so many are going to piggybacks. No need to crack anything. Anyway, if you guys want to check it out, just give me a heads up. I'll pull the JB4 and bring it by. It should burn enough gas getting up there that any ethanol I have in the tank will be negligible once I fill it. Thanks M...

Re: Hey Mike.....
Nathan said they can't do it. The 21s are encrypted and they don't have the unlock codes or a crack, so even in Alabama theres not much they could do.

Re: Hey Mike.....
Yeah, and they're looking for a 20+ M550 too, but I'm not bringing the car to Alabama. If I could just bring it to you, I'd have it there in a couple of hours.
I sent them an email when I saw, but I haven't heard back yet. Sanford is way easier.

Re: AWD Dyno?
Did you ever get the new dyno? I still need one to rent. We have a potential class action lawsuit against BMW pending for neutering these cars, and I need to find out if it actually is neutered.

Re: Horsepower Wars 2021 is coming!
That’s ridiculous. Because it was 2wd, or because they were cheap? $50 pulls is dirt cheap.

Re: Horsepower Wars 2021 is coming!
I'd rather go back to the dyno day. Its safer. Don't have to worry about hitting a wall at 120+mph.

Re: Hey Mike.....
Current development is a physical handheld device, but thats just for starters. Does Dinan know that? Their Tech Support told me "I don't have an ETA on any hand held option at the moment. We are currently working on a flash tune option for that platform now but that is the only thing that is ...

Re: Hey Mike.....
Cool. It would be amazing if somehow the handheld could talk to a phone and then have logging data displayed on the center screen via CarPlay. Or if the handheld was Android based and could display without a phone. I think that’s definitely something that’s missing on the market currently that would...

Re: Hey Mike.....
When they're ready for an N63B tester, you know where to find me. I'm always available for Sanford. Not so much Alabama.

AWD Dyno?
Just curious who you guys are using for dynoing AWD vehicles? Pretty sure both dynos I saw on site are just 2WD. New car is in customs now, so it should be here in a week or two. Gonna do a quick 1,000 mile break in and then it needs a baseline dyno test. They may advertise 523hp, 553lb/ft, but I’d ...

Re: Support ctv4 support?
I am finding no tuning for them at all, even by the normal Cadillac tuners like D3.
If I had to guess, I’d say Banks may be the first to tune it. I know Gale got one of the CT6-Vs, so if he’s anything like the rest of us, he can’t leave anything alone and will probably dig into it.

Re: Support ctv4 support?
Maybe the higher tech LTA for the Platinum and the LT4 for the V? Reading up on the Blackwing, I don't know if I could trust it. There seem to have been quite a few low mileage failures, requiring replacement. Wondering if theres some kind of engineering issue with them, or if the failures were due ...
