My experience with 7194 on an Avalanche is has not been good. (FYI: This is my third Predator, had them for 2 diesels and loved them) First install resulted in a dead truck. Could not be forced or reprogrammed. Was towed in and the PCM replaced by Chevy. Every tune since then has been like russian ...

RE: wont crank now

What version are you using? Do you have the 6.0 engine?

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Am I missing something?

Is the short logging times a hardware issue, or is it something you guys can fix?

RE: AVALANCHE 6.0

Yep, had the same thing happen on mine. Chevy actually replaced my PCM. I can verify that the 8r10 version works with the 07 6.0 and provides some decent improvements especially with the off idle throttle response and the WOT delay. I've had a couple of error messages with the traction control that ...

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Am I missing something?

Yeah,I probably wouldn't want to turn it off anyway, it's more about being able to grab it by the throat and control it any way I want. Any comment about the short logging times? Going to be able to fix that?

thanks!

Re: RE: Am I missing something?

I have not been shy about saying that I do not have an ETA for when this project will be complete, but, I can say for sure that it will be done.

Thanks

I'm going to stick with you guys and see how this ends. This is my third Predator, had 2 for diesels before this, and I've had more than my ...

Gonna have some fun now. I know the U7194 has a short logging time, so when you log are you looking at the fueling at wide open throttle? Is there any benefit (mileage wise) to looking at partial throttle air fuel ratios? Can you modify partial throttle ratios?

no, you do not have to restore the original backup before switching tunes...

Thanks Lew! The question I have is little more specific, i.e. do you have to restore the original tune in order to modify the Predator tune? The owners manual says:

"If you wish to modify a tune, simply select “Modify ...

Got the #10 revision today installed (what a battle, thanks Phil!), am running the 87 Octane tune - better throttle response, less lag on power, very nice! Feels good to be back in the game after three months, now I'm going to start learning how to use this thing.

First off, what are the parameters ...

I'll give it one more try (once we see the revision). If it screws my truck up again, I'm done. Will get HP Tuner and do it myself.
