Re: 08 Silverado clicking under dash
Could be HVAC actuators cycling the mode door. I have one in my truck that occasionally hunts for position, and it will reach the end of the door travel and make noise.

Re: Lost communication from PCM to Predator
Should be a fuse that powers the obd connector. It most likely will be labeled for the other circuits it protects. On trucks, if I remember correctly, its in with the cigarette lighter fuse. Your owners manual should have a description of what each fuse protects. It might be called DLC, or OBD.

Re: Gto kooks help!!!
Lew just hooked my truck up with a custom tune. It is amazing! I have an 05 Silverado 1500 with the 5.3. I have intake and exhaust mods with shorty headers. The end result was just awesome. The electronic throttle function is way more responsive and the trans actually shifts when you feel it's ...

Re: Predator still a good choice?
In theory though, I should be able to buy the custum tune using my predator and be able to basically set it and forget it once it gets dialed in right? So the upgrade to the intune really wouldn't be that important right? That would be the least expensive route as well. Other than chasing ghosts ...

Re: Predator still a good choice?
Do you do anything for the trade in credit on your package deal for the intune? Or do I have to go through diablosport directly to take advantage of the credit?

Re: 7193 TM on off?
Thanks for the answer! I turned the tm off and turned the shift pressures back to the preset levels and love the way the shift feel is. Seems to be a little punchier too...

Re: 99 sierra 5.3 slower with diablo tune
Check your basics too. Have seen many many gm trucks with fuel pump issues making them run doggy as hell. Fuel pressure should be between 55 and 60 psi. it should not drop off under acceleration either. If it does you have a fuel delivery issue, causing you to run lean. The new tune and cai will ...

Re: 7193 TM on off?
Still hoping to get a response to my question about tm. I know you guys are busy and i appreciate any help i can get. What are the concerns with turning off the tm? What kind of trouble can i get myself into with that? Should it be left alone? What are the positive results if any? Or am i just ...

Re: 7193 TM on off?
So having the upshift reduction turned off cannot hurt trans? Even when pulling? I just want to make sure I'm not cuasing damage with inexperiance.

Re: 7193 TM on off?
And turning that off and turning up shift pressure at the same time can wreak havoc on the trans correct?

7193 TM on off?
I am confused. What does toggling tm on and off do on 7193? I have read other posts saying that a trinity is needed to disable tm.

Re: Predator may be causing misfires on truck
Crank sensor relearn maybe? Have fought Phantom misfires after a GM reflash before on a 2500hd 6.0. Wasn't really missing all that bad, but it was enough to trigger a mil and kick out the toque converter. Did a crankshaft sensor relearn procedure and it cleared up. I even put a new intake manifold ...

You do need to remember it is a truck...and heavy. Sure you can make it a little better but thats about it. Its not going to be a tire smoking demon if thats what you want. I have a 01 that now has a cam and heads on it. I tuned it myself and have the TQ managment set up to where its safe on the ...

Re: RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Snap On solus AFR?
Just to let you know my truck was doing the same thing and it ended up being #8 coil was bad.Check exhaust manifold temp at each cylinder exhaust port and if one is running cooler then the rest that may be your problem.

RE: Re: RE: Re: RE: Snap On solus AFR?
Or is the real moral of the story I am being unrealistic about the performance potential of a basically stock fuel injected LM7 in a full size 4x4? Do my limitations lie within the basic design of the engine components themselves? Should i just face the reality that I am not going to improve anymore ...
