no, it is telling you that your vehicle needs an update, since it has an older calibration.
It has no way to know that until you plug it into your truck and let it see whats going on there ;)

Ok, so I hooked it up to my PC, walked away and let it run for quite a while. It seems to have updated completely a it now reads "Application: 1r02a" and everything under that says either "1r01x(*)" or "1r01x(ok)"...

if you go to settings , tool info. firmware the application should read 1r02a and the dbs under that should all say 1r0? they should not say missing. as chances are they are if you are getting vin db errors

So I just got my new intune last night, updated it right away (after a few tries on my PC). Plugged it into my 2006 Jeep Grand Cherokee Overland which has the 5.7L HEMI, after following the instructions and tuning the key to ON I get a "VIN Validation Error" message.
