Well Johan , mine is the 5.7L , so where should the safe rev limit be in your setup ?

That means in your setup you allow the engine to rev up to 6600 RPM ? Isn;t that risking something ? I mean damage to the camshaft ...valves ... crankcase ...etc.

so in the 5.7L 91 CAI tune, at what RPM have you set the rev limiter as I think in mine I don't have any rev limiter !

The only choice we have to raise the shiftpoints is 6000 RPM and not 5800 RPM ... while 5800 is ideal, 6000 is a little too high, So if we put it at 6000 RPM, and at stock auto uphift mode , can we still shift it manually under full throttle at 5800 RPM or it will still go to 6000 RPM?

Yes you first download the 93 CAI tune and then change whatever you like ... don't touch customizing ... only quick adjusts... enjoy it.

Thank yu for your reply. I have put the CAI 91 tune and haven't played with the rev limiter parameter at all . All I did was raise shift point to 6000 RPM and the auto-upshift mode ... I assumed that will hold the gear till it reaches the 6000 RPM and then it will keep hold up there at 6000 RPM ...

U7135 , 300 C 5.7L 2006 ... I have changed the autostick upshift to mode1 and the shift points to 6000 RPM. Then the car doesn't upshift till it I do it manually which is quite fine. However, I have noticed that even beyong 6000 RPM the car doesn't upshift and that it even went up beyond 6500 RPM ...

Changing the shift points will only change the wot rpm shift points, it will not change anything else in the shift logic.
If you have an srt8 raising them is recommended, i do not recommend to do it on a 5.7L unless you have a good cam in there.
