I am putting the card in before I connect the unit to the car. When I do that, it doesn't power up at all. As soon as I click it loose, it starts up, and when I push the card in, it immediately shuts down. Would formatting it correct that? What exactly do I have to do to format it?

Thanks for the reply! I will try that again tonight, but when I plugged it in with the card inserted, it didn't come on at all. Maybe I'm not letting it sit long enough? Does it take longer to boot up with the SD card installed?

Turns off when SD is inserted

When I try to put the SD card in my Trinity to back up my factory tune, as soon as it's in, the unit turns off. When I take it out, it comes back on right away. Am I doing something wrong?

I had this same issue with mine today with my 06 Magnum R/T, and what the tech ended up having me do was to change the vehicle to a 2010 Challenger, and it worked. He told me to just leave it programmed as the '10 Chalengar. It's been working so far for me this way.
