Got it fixed.
Just needed to go to the device manager and under the update driver for the cable, choose search my computer for file and then click on the let me pick the driver box.
I had to choose three or four of the prolific drivers until one of the worked.
All's good now.

I have the same problem.
I've tried using a different cable and it still doesn't recognize my Predator.
