Crank re-learn was exactly what it needed.
Now, you'll never convince me that the trinity wasn't to blame for this. I can't explain it, but logic points to the most recent change.
Truck drove great before I got the Trinity. After tuning it, it pinged like a popcorn machine. Returned it to stock ...

Re: CEL - P0016 - Crankshaft Position
And got the same light again this morning even after returning it to stock. Cleared the code and drove it to work.....seemed to drive fine.

CEL - P0016 - Crankshaft Position
'11 Ram Hemi, 87 octane tune.........got a check engine light tonight. P0016 - Crankshaft Position. It forced my truck into a safe mode i guess. It would drive OK, but it was like it was in a limp mode. It would drive fine if you drove normally, but mat the gas pedal and it felt dead. Manually ...

Re: LT Knock and ST Knock Issues at Cruising Speeds
Mine was at it's worst right after mds turned off. Like if you've set the cruise and coast down a hill, about the time you hit the bottom of the hill and start up the other side, mds turns off and returns to 8 cyl mode. In that scenario, mine would ping a couple times that you could hear in the cab.

Re: Different types of knock
Mine's going back to stock and I'm going to test out the 30 day money back guarantee if they don't get this fixed soon. I can't even set the cruise on the interstate. At the lightest throttle application, it'll ping to the point of being audible occassionally. The power is great when I put my foot ...

Re: LT Knock and ST Knock Issues at Cruising Speeds
Took a 200 mile road trip today and I could actually hear it knocking occassionally. This is rediculous.....going to have to return mine to stock before it causes damage.

Re: LT Knock and ST Knock Issues at Cruising Speeds
I tried the 87 tune with 93 octane gas with the same symptoms. That tells me it isn't an octane issue..oemtech wrote:Want I have found is 93 octane isn't 93 octane in many cases. Try running the 91 tune with 93 octane gas.

Re: Different types of knock
It's not like I'm holding it back from shifting. I'd think if it was really lugging, it would downshift. And I'm in MS.......not like I'm pulling up mountains or steep grades to induce that knock. My biggest concern is that it will be amplified when I tow.

Re: Different types of knock
Here's an example of the knock i'm talking about. Barely on the gas, increase throttle from 10% to 25% as I start up a sloping hill, not even enough to make it shift out of overdrive. As the throttle comes on, LTKR goes to 6. More throttle, goes away. If i hold it there, it subsides as I crest the ...

Re: future functionality
You don't have a rear camera? I thought they were standard on all full size pickups these days.
Yeah, but all you can see is the winch post and the front of the boat......you'd never see an object behind the boat. Much safer to turn around and look where you're going. The backup camera is great ...

Re: future functionality
I wear the belt when I pull out of the driveway and into a spot on the street. It takes all of 2 seconds to put it on and take it off, whats the big deal?
It's not about the effort it takes to put it on........it's about the ability to turn around backwards to watch where I'm going, especially ...
