RE: 180 stat settings

I am running the 4128 t-stat, and a customized 93 octane CAI tune. Under normal condtions my EVIC shows 186*F.
Some time ago I inquired of DS what the temperature difference was from FAN-ON to FAN-OFF. The reply was 10*F.
So, in order to keep the low speed fan from running continuously, I have my LS ...

When the fans run, they both run.
In the low speed mode they are electrically in series (i/2 voltage to each), so they run at half speed.
In the high speed mode they are electrically in parallel (full voltage to each), so they run at full speed.

Re: RE: Re: RE: Recommended to raise shift points on 5.7???

I realize they are the experts, however my 07 is a dog with stock shift points, you may be past your power band at 5800 from 1-2 but when it shifts you are already climbing back up the curve with the raised shift points, stock my car shifted at 5500 and I can tell you that extra 300 rpms makes a ...

You may have read my reply to a similar thread elsewhere, but FWIW, I'll repeat it here. My 180*F t-stat has coolant temperature hovering around 185*F.
DS reports that the temperature range from fan-on to fan-off is 10*F. So, to allow the low speed fan to actual shut off sometime, (to prevent the ...

I'm running a 180*F t-stat that indicates coolant temps of 185-188*F in the EVIC. According to DS there is a 10*F range between the fan on temperature and the fan off temperature, so to keep the fans from running ...

Okay, so I sent Johan my stock tune and he replied with two modified performance 93 octane with CAI tunes: one with torque management reduced to the stock level, and the other with torque management "reduced a little".

I installed the "reduced a little" torque management 93 octane CAI tune and the ...

It is the stock tune.
There are instructions in the sticky above titled Hemi custom tune instructions.
Follow them to get a copy of the backup file to your PC and email it to Johan for a new tune.

Thanks

Ummmm, you guys are missing the point here....
Johan would like one of you guys complaining about the issue to send him a copy of your original backup file so he can create a custom tune to try to fix this for you.
Obviously its not something that we can just put into a revision without anyone ...

Re: RE: HARSH MDS ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE

This is due to the reduction is torque management, as the mds uses the same logic to soften the engagement/disengagement of mds.
You could either turn mds off or get a tune from us with torque management set back to stock, that will affect shift feel overall as well, ie. feel more like stock.
It ...

HARSH MDS ENGAGE AND DISENGAGE

To DS:
My car is a 2005 5.7L Chrysler with a K&N CAI. Otherwise it is stock.
I had first installed r18 (93 with CAI) a couple of weeks ago. Then when r20 became available I updated. I stiffened shifts and upped revs, and left the MDS enabled. All seems to be working well.
I have an MDS indicator LED ...
