I don't even have a trip computer. I do the mileage on the gas fill receipt (need to track it for work). Usually it's 250miles (or so) on a 10-11G fill. With the 87 performance tune I'm getting no more than 180 miles on a 10-11G fill.

I drive a LOT, 120M RT every day for this one project I'm on ...

2006 Mustang, V6, 5speed, Roush CAI and single GT takeoff exhaust. Predator U7140 running the latest 05-8R38 software using the 87 performance tune. My MPG has gone from 24-25(before tune) to 17-18(after tune). I've tested this thru quite a few tanks of gas.

Ideas? Suggestions? Everything ...

I cant seem to find whereto do that! I just did the latest software for it as well (8r38). When I plug it in I choose Performance Tune then I get the following options:
87 Octane Performance
91 Octane Perrformance
93 Octane Performance
C&L Street Kit
JTL Induction
91 Octane Steeda ...

Which one do you have?

It's not the "cable" thats certified it's the driver. Did you look at the mfr's website for an updated one? I'm showing a startech and cables to go on rS's website. Both of those are vista supported with the right drivers.

Rookie here! My U7140 Predator should be here tommorow. Looking forward to it! Anyways, got an 06 Mustang V6 5speed with a Roush CAI, Husrt short throw and single GT take-off exhaust. Are the standard 87, 91, 93 tunes enough? How do you know when a "custom" is needed? Everything I read says ...

What issues are you having with yours? If it's recognized by the system it could just be a matter of adjusting the settings.
