To start with yr last Q: yes! and I also modified the cooling fan temp (plus 5 degrees was enough) since the cooling fan came on constantly. And that modification worked out well. But the speed limiter seems stubborn.
I have the U 7140, 8R38 revision
Stang GT with steeda CAI, Borla x-pipe with cats ...

How to shut the speed limiter off? Stang GT 2006. U 7140. When I shut it off in modify tune, its appears to come on again when I install the tune (steeda 91). Car runs great by the way.

I got Borla cat backs (mellow) plus X-pipe. Steeda CAI. Put Mobil 1 synt aut transmision fluid in my manual gearbox. Mounted bilsteins HD shocks. Use steeda 91 oct tune Using 93 oct, (noticed not much difference with 2 degrees more advance. Its making the car only more nervous).

93 .I know this tune ifor 93 is moe advanced. That's my point. The car runs better with slightly less advance. So i run 93 and use 91 performance tune

Last week I tried the 93 and 91 performance tunes on my 2006 gt with borla catbacks and K&N airfilter. It worked out quite well. The 93 tune proved fast, with no pinging, however the engine felt less smooth and a little distressed. I feel it was on the very limit of its advance curve.The 91 tune ...

Hi, i just bought the U7140 for my mustang gt 2006. Its serial no is 182115. Can i use it straight away? Has it got the lastest or the right updates? My stang is standard with catback borla's.
Want to try 91 and 93 oct respectively.
I'm reading some annoying experiences in your tech discussions ...

Give my feed back please on the solution. I like to know what exactly happened and went wrong with Amon's car, before i use my newly purchased U7140 on my Stang GT 2006.
