you need to have the inTune i3 8200 or 8245 Platinum, or the Trinity T2 EX 9200 or 9245 Platinum version tool for that truck... Look at the sticker on the bottom of the box it came in...

It re-writes the whole tune... You would select the preset canned tune you want to install, then choose to Modify it to make the adjustments you want, then exit back out and install/apply the tune... That will install the preset canned tune you selected with the adjustments you made to it.

If they did not restore the original backup stock tunes to their vehicle in order to unlock/reset the inTune, then it is still locked to their vehicle... And you would have to buy another license to add to it in order to use it on yours...

The info.xml file would be in the main/root i3 drive... not in any sub-folder...

you will need to purchase a new GM license to add to your inTune... then you'd be able to use it on your "new" truck...
