Hello Mike/Diablo Support,

I started using your tuner with no issues during 93/91 oct tunes. During this tune I have seen a better performance on car and specially when adjusting throttle response.

When I started my sand driving I have disabled the traction and this is were the issues started popping up. 1st, when disbling traction after couple of mins driving the check engine light lights on my dashboard. Traction tested and disabled perfectly but another issue popped up which is my automatic gear stops from shifting.

1st 2 mins shifting is fine and suddendly I get stuck in 3rd gear or on Drive with no possibility to down shift or upshift the gear. During this state my car performance drops dramatically and becomes slow with very low torque.

After some testing, If i turn of the car and turn it on issues are solved and power is restored but this is for 2-3 mins where same thing happens again.

Check engine keeps on until I restore the stock tune were everything gets back to normal.

I need your support as this is not a solution specially that I am afraid my car malfunctions if I continue disabling the traction in this way.

Seems the car is getting lost when traction is off check engine is popping up and performance degraded.

Note: my car is Wrangler 2015 Sahara unlimited purchased T1000 along with modified PCM.

Please advise

Are there any codes when this happens?

Are you driving it aggressively when you have TC disabled?

Hello Mikel,

Just had one time the error "P0480 Jeep Cooling Fan 1 Control Circuit" when car had high temperature and when restored back to stock tune all went fine.

Well for driving aggressively, I would say moderate but as you know this is sand I was driving on so I need traction to be off and was pushing some times car to the limit.

Any hope to solve my issue?

Frankly, I am trying to avoid the physical kill switch and have my tuner solve my traction issue, but Im kinda afraid now that my car will not function properly or the tune would ruin something in my car.

Appreciate your support

Yes Sure.

The only modification on the car is 3.5" cold air intake from engine/performance.

Physical mods: Tires 285/70/R17 plus LED bars/headlights along with 2.5" lift kit.

Hello Mike,

Any clue? Is there any data you need me to collect it from my tuner or something though I am using default built-in tunes. As you can see my mods are quite moderate.

Is there anything from custom tune you can provide me to solve the issue or something I need to be aware of to stop this repetitive issue I am facing?

Below photos show the car in the three modes:

Car powered on with 93Oct tune
Car on ignition but not powered on with traction disabled
Car powered on with traction disabled

As you can see when powering on car check engine turns off, when I start my sand offroading check engine comes back in and performance degrades in car along with inability to manually shift my automatic gearbox.

Is it also normal that hand break light shows when disabling traction? The physical kill switch at my friends car doesnt light up the handbreak.

Appreciate your support to solve my issue.

this is not an issue I am seeing reported with other users so we are looking into it to see what may be happening.

Thank you, anything needed from my end to support you?

Hey Mike,

On the contrary, I have seen lots of posts related to this issue after lots and lots of research. So turned out that my car is going into something called "limp mode" causing my auto shift gear to get stuck in D or 3rd along with low performance. Seems like during sand off-roading the parameters being received from the wheel sensors are quite out of the range. Accordingly, car is putting itself into limp mode as protection this is were I face the issue with auto gear shift not working and very low car performance. I have even posted before that that I get stuck on 2000 rpm even if I press full throttle.

So my question is the following, can this be solved using a custom tune to overcome this protective car mode? If not, your product mentions that it will shut down traction. Me as an end user will understand that everything should work fine when traction is disabled which is not correct. What is the solution in this situation, frankly I have bought a modified PCM with T1000 paying almost 1K USD to avoid going with traction kill switch and other mods.

Please advise if this can be solved, or refund can be done or what exactly. I really need this traction to be off without messing my whole car off.

post a copy of the last tune written from the tunes folder on the device and I will make you a custom tune that disables Traction Control/ESP/ABS and we'll see if that works for you.

Hello Mike,

Please find attached the modified 93_Oct tune. Mainly the only mods I have done are throttle response (20) and Tire size (285/70/R17).

Traction is enabled in this tune so that you can disable it from your end and send me custom tune as suggested.

Appreciate your support and dedication, hope this solves my issue.
