Torque management on /off

Post by slimchance »

Found this option as I was adding pressure to shifts, it's only on or off.
I upped the shift point pressure to 15% on wot and 10% normal shift then I noticed this torque shift, so my question is what does it do and should I keep it on or off and would it hurt anything off? I'm assuming this is what causing a long delay then slam into gear, before I added pressure, mostly on wot.
My tune is 87 with firm shift. 2014 Tahoe 4x4
This is starting to become overwhelming so I may just have lew hook me up with a custom, but I wanna wait till after my exhaust and cai get here. I'm also thinking of lt headers and cat delete if I go custom.
I towed a 5500lb dith witch today and it still slammed into gear .
I also turned off tm tonight and still slammed.
Is there anything else I can do?it mostly slams in wot or over 3k rpm

turning off torque management will make it shift harder...

increasing shift pressure will make it shift harder..

so if you don't want it that hard like it is now, then put the torque mangement back on..

and put the shift pressures back to where they were before..

With shift normal it delays before slam, when I added pressure it got better but still hits ruff over 3500rpm
